Wood Duck
Mom, Grandma, Grandpa, and I left mom’s brothers house today. Mom’s brother and wife from Texas came with us to see grandma and grandpas house. We all went to the Wildlife Refuge and then they went out to dinner. Mom’s brother and his wife spent the night and everyone stayed up late visiting. I was the only sensible one who went to bed at a decent hour! Mom’s other brother will be up in the morning to take everyone to the coast in his van.

Mom’s brother arrived bright and early and we headed for Bandon, Oregon. We stopped by one of the old covered bridges along the way. It was a drizzly day, but we enjoyed walking around old town Bandon anyway. The men went for a walk out on the piers to see how the crabbing was going. We girls kept looking in stores.

We visited a lighthouse and I got to play on the beach a couple of times. It was fun!
The waves chased me but they couldn't catch me!

Today we just rested. Grandma and Grandpa were tired from all the excitement and traveling of the past few days. Both of mom’s brothers left last night and her brother from Texas and his wife are returning home today.
I have to admit that I am kinda tired too and am glad to rest for the day.

Snow covered trees at Crater Lake National Park.
Well, we traveled again today. The four of us, mom and I and grandma and grandpa, went up to Crater Lake National Park, and wouldn’t you know, it snowed! It was pretty to see the snow, but there was just no way to see the lake. Mom, grandma, and grandpa had lunch at the lodge and did some shopping for souvenirs. I got to run and play in the snow a little bit.
We stopped at Fall Creek Falls on the way back and mom and I hiked in to see the falls. The hike was short but pretty and the falls were beautiful.

Today was another day of rest for grandma and grandpa. Mom went to Eugene to see an old friend of hers from high school. They went out to dinner and mom said they had a nice long visit. I got to stay with grandma and grandpa and got lots of attention from both of them. They like me!

Happy Birthday Grandma!
Grandma celebrated her birthday today. Mom to her and grandpa out for dinner and I had to stay home by myself again. It just isn’t fair. Otherwise it was a quiet day today.

Mom went to Corvallis, Oregon today to visit a friend. I didn’t get to go but got to stay with grandma and grandpa. Mom went to college in Corvallis and she says it is good to see the area again. Her friend took her to lunch at one of mom’s old favorite hangouts and then they went shopping. Somewhere during the day the windshield on mom runner got cracked. Mom isn’t very happy about that. She and her friend were going to go to Silver Falls State Park out of Salem, but they decided to stay in town and have dinner with her friends’ son and his fiancé. Mom is spending the night at her friends’ house and is planning on coming back to grandma and grandpa’s tomorrow. I spent my time sitting in grandpa’s lap and playing with my toys.
