After we left moms brothers house, we stopped to see moms aunt and visit with her for awhile. Mom’s aunt spoiled me!
There were some cats there though and one of them was bigger than me and kept stalking me.
I was scared of that cat and didn’t mind telling mom so one little bit! (The picture below is blurry because I was frantically trying to get into mom's lap to get away from that cat!)

Mom, grandma and grandpa went grocery shopping and left me at home. I wasn’t happy about that. I just don't understand why I have to stay home sometimes when I ask so nicely to be able to go along.

For me today was a restful day with grandma and grandpa. Mom was busy getting ready for a camping trip with a friend. Grandpa played with me a lot and it was fun!

Mom and her friend and I left today to camping in Central Oregon, just south of Bend. What a beautiful area! It was a long drive, and I occupied myself part of the time by playing in the back of the runner!
We had a little trouble finding a good camping spot (mom and her friend are both particular about where they camp . . . it has to be just the right place), but we finally found one.
We camped in Little Fawn Campground at Elk Lake. It was pretty there! Mom’s friend cooked brat sausages for dinner and then, because it was cold and kinda late, we crawled in the truck and all watched episodes of Star Trek Enterprise. Can you believe watching movies while you’re camping?! Well, at least we stayed warm, and the shows were fun to watch.

It was cold when we woke up this morning and mom wrapped me in a blanket to help me stay warm. She sure does love me and takes good care of me! We got into camp too late last night to collect wood for a fire, so mom just made coffee on the camp stove (you don’t want to be around mom if she doesn’t get her morning coffee . . . it’s not a pretty site!) Mom read, drank coffee, and snuggled me until her friend woke up. Then we all had breakfast and headed out for the day.
We went to the Lava Butte National Monument and drove up a cinder cone mountain. At the top we got out to look around and I saw lots of squirrels that I wanted to chase, but mom wouldn’t let me. The view was awesome though . . . we could see for miles and miles!
Next we went to the High Desert Museum in Bend. I wasn’t allowed to go into the museum and had to stay in my cage on the back of the runner. Not fun. Mom and her friend seemed to have fun and at least they shared their tuna fish sandwiches with me when they got back!
On the way back to camp mom and her friend stopped at a campground that had showers to get cleaned up. When we got back to camp, mom’s friend cooked the BBQ Chicken mom brought and I got to eat some of it too. It was really good! Afterwards we all sat around the campfire for awhile until we got too cold and then we got back in the truck to watch more episodes of Star Trek Enterprise.

It was 35 degrees and drizzling when we got up this morning. Burrrrrr! Mom fixed coffee while her friend built up another campfire . . . a one match fire to be exact! We went out to breakfast at the Elk Lodge and then went to Lava River Cave. It is basically a great big hole in the ground made by a lava flow a long time ago. Mom and her friend took flashlights and hiked into the cave, but I stay with the runner. When they came back I got to climb on rocks and look around.
We were suppose to camp another night, but it started raining for real and mom and her friend didn’t want to camp in the rain. Neither did I for that matter! So, we all went back to mom’s friends house for the night and watched . . . you guessed it, Star Trek Enterprise episodes.

Mom and her friend watched a silly movie this morning and then more episodes of Star Trek Enterprise. It was a lazy day for the most part and we all enjoyed it very much. Mom and her friend went out to dinner and left me a home. When they got back, mom and I went back to grandma and grandpas house. Grandpa played with me some more and gave me big hugs. I like grandpa! He's fun and he gives good hugs!
