Grooming School
Mom has decided to learn dog grooming and is attending school at the local VoTech. I am excited because dogs are allowed to go, so you might say I am going to school too! These are some of the pictures of my classmates and what our moms and dads learned about how to care for our fur!
This is Bently. He got a Poodle trim. Before finishing, the teacher showed how to do a "Lamb Cut" and how to make the fancy puff balls on the feet and tail.

I don't want a haircut, and I don't want my nails trimmed!
This is Chewie. He was going to get a hair cut, but he made it very clear he wasn't interested. So, he just got his toenails trimmed . . . well, a couple of them got trimmed.
You didn't say anything about having to get a haircut if I came to class!

They trimmed me to look like a Schnauzer. But I'm a Yorkie!
This is Little Britches. She wasn't very happy about getting a hair cut, but she put up with it. We all began to worry and wonder who was going to be chosen next for a hair cut.
Alright, I got the haircut. Are you happy now?
Sissy and I made friends pretty fast. She told me to relax and take it easy because they wouldn't get around to giving all of us haircuts. I told her I thought maybe because her hair was too short to cut that she wasn't being quite as understanding of the situation as some of us!
Sissy just kicked back and relaxed, said the whole thing didn't bother her a bit!
I think they worry too much.

Trimming my toenails
They gave me a "Lion Cut"!
Lion Cut style 1. Long hair in front and on legs.
Lion Cut style 2. Short hair except for mane.
Can anyone spell Canine? It's K-9, not feline!
Oh, man. They even got my tail!
I suppose it's not so bad. The weather is getting warmer and this is much better than all that long fur. I do hope mom trims the mane off soon too though.

Maybe this dog grooming isn't such a bad idea! We all came out looking pretty good even if we weren't happy about it at the time. I'm even starting to like my Lion Cut . . . it gets me lots of attention!
