Deschutes National Forest
Mom and I went camping with a friend in Central Oregon, just south of Bend.
This area is in the Cascade Range and has all kinds of wonderful lakes!
We camped at Elk Lake and made day trips to visit the Newberry National Volcanic Monument and the High Desert Museum.

It was very cold in the mornings, about 35 degrees!

Oregon has many beautiful places to see and this area is but one. Mom says it's time to move on now, but I don't want to . . . I like it here!
