Yosemite National Park

Picture
Mom grew up in California but never got to go to Yosemite National Park, so on this trip it was a real treat for her to get to go.  I had to stay at camp because I'm a dog and the park wouldn't let me in.  However, mom's aunt and uncle took real good care of me and I didn't mind staying behind too bad.  (I keep telling myself that and maybe one of these days I'll actually believe it!)

The Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, where the park is located, is
very rugged and beautiful, and there are many lakes.  Mom drove in
from the back side over Tioga pass and headed for Yosemite Valley,
the area the park is famous for.

One thing mom said she found really amazing
is how the trees seem to grow up out of solid rock!
